The percentage of total household expenditure on housing, based on the data collected from the Household Expenditure Surveys (HES). The HES is conducted to collect up-to-date information on the consumption patterns of households in Hong Kong. Based on the HES results, a representative list of goods and services commonly purchased by an average household, together with their relative importance in the total expenditure of the household, can be derived.
